The boards say that tech denials were issued a few days ago.  The "Congratulations" e-mails went out yesterday.  I haven't heard of any ODAR folks receiving a tech denial.  I haven't heard that anyone got a "we don't think you'd get a high enough score, so we won't test you further" notice like last time.

It sounds like a much higherpercentage of applicants will go through full ntesting this time.

I hadn't heard of THAT notice.  Funny.  Last time, I got bounced through not specifying the exact date I was admitted to the bar in 1980.  This time, I got bounced through not scoring high enough for the written examination (though, oddly enough, an acquaintance who has been here for far fewer years is taking the written test).

Or is that the sort of notice you meant?

My impression is that having a senior attorney slot is the way to jump that wall--we only have one of them animals in this office and I ain't it.  I am sort of depressed that my experience as a former assistant D.A. doesn't help, but them's the breaks.   Sad

I think your "This time, I got bounced through not scoring high enough for the written examination " was exactly what I was talking about when I described people receiving a  "we don't think you'd get a high enough score, so we won't test you further" notice.

You are the first unfortunate I've heard of who received that type of notice this round.
