February 12-13, 2009 is the annual Social Security law seminar at the State Bar Building in Atlanta.  Once again the Association of Attorney-Advisors will be hosting a hospitality suite open following the seminar Thursday.  It will be at the Residence Inn, about .2 miles from the seminar site.  Please send an e-mail to jim.hitchcock@ssa.gov if you plan to visit the hospitality suite.

We had a surprisingly high turnout at the Atlanta meeting.  CALJ Cristaudo indicated about 155 new ALJs in FY 09 and more in FY 10.  He also predicted several hundred more staff hires.

Does that mean 155 more hired in '09?  (I'm curious because I just got the news I am on the list!)
