More senior attorney postings?

With all the hoopla about ALJ interviews, offers, etc. on the various boards, I'm wondering if anyone is in the know regarding more senior attorney opportunities?  I'd heard SSA was gung-ho on the senior attorney adjudicator project and planned to add more SAA slots, but so far I've not seen that to be the case--at least, not in my immediate area. 

My ultimate goal is to jump into the ALJ fray eventually, myself.  However,  I'm doubtful  I can go very far towards that end as a GS-12.  Any thoughts on that are welcome, as well.  Thanks!
